Teacher Education
The college's teacher education programs are designed to ensure that program graduates have the knowledge, skills and dispositions to help all students learn. These programs maintain selective admission, retention and graduation requirements and are in compliance with the Alabama Teacher Certification Code. In addition, the college offers an assurance of competence that articulates its guarantee with regards to graduates of the teacher education programs.
This section includes information about the transition points for students in teacher education programs, the Alabama Prospective Teacher Testing Program, and required fingerprinting.Please note: All professional education courses (i.e. methods, foundations and orientations) related to teacher certification must be taken and completed successfully at Auburn University. The College of Education will not accept professional education courses from a transfer institution.
